Here at The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas we are here to help you launch the next step of your career. Employers nowadays require an entry level position to have two – three years of experience. How is this possible for a recent graduate to already obtain work experience? One of the biggest assets that you can utilize while taking classes at The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas is enrolling in the Internship Program. An internship allows students to apply their academic knowledge, in a corporate work environment. Working in a fast-paced hospitality setting allows students to experience a hands-on work environment. We offer a paid internship program to give exceptional graduates the experience to advance to higher-level positions with our employer partners. During your internship, you are bound to experience some highs and lows. There will be times when you question everything you have learned so far at the academy but then there will be times when you feel on top of the world. Everyone’s approach to learning is different, but a hands-on experience will allow you to use your education in the work place.
An internship is an incredible way to get your foot in the door with some of the world’s best hotels and restaurants. In today’s competitive job market, an internship on your resume will help you stand out among other applications. We have partnered with Culinary Union 226, Bartenders Union 165, and 32 major properties on the Strip. Private leverage comes from these employer partners, which contribute to the training trust fund that supports the classes offered by the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas. Students will be able to learn and work with world class chefs to enhance their culinary skills. Also in the internship program the academy helps individuals with developing resumes, submitting applications, and interviewing for jobs.
